On Monday, January 25th, I prefiled as a candidate for mayor of the City of Pensacola. The election will be held August 24, with a runoff in November if necessary.

That action means that I will now wear two hats (not including a third hat as the president of an ad agency). I remain your City Councilwoman At-Large providing the strong voice and the service which you have come to expect since I took office in January 2009. As a mayoral candidate I will be asking for your support and your vote.

This website must therefore now serve two purposes: (1) to continue to provide an easily-accessed source of current information about the issues that may come before the Pensacola City Council and (2) to communicate the substance, progress, and needs of the mayoral campaign.

Please visit often and keep informed. By your enlightened and regular participation you will help ensure that your City Council fulfills its obligation to govern openly, fairly, intelligently, and with integrity.

You may at times disagree with the decisions I make, but you will know that those decisions are made after deep study and consideration....based on reason, not emotion... for the benefit of the community as can be determined from the facts... and being ever mindful of the sacredness of the public trust.
